I had some serious problem with my 2350 so I basically wiped everything out off the hard drive and started over from scratch. I reloaded the XP operating system and some of the programs that came with my system. I currently have 2 problems that I cannot figure out. #1-My video driver seems to be incorrect even though I downloaded the driver directly off Dell's website, however when I go under Control Panel to set the correct resolution for my monitor the 'Properties' button is greyed out- and the default monitor is listed simply as a 'VGA compatible '  instead of the specific flat screen model I have-

#2- I loaded my internet provider access program and it dials and sometimes lets me in but the Internet Explorer window spontaneously closes without warning- sometimes immediately even before the page loads up and sometimes after a few minutes of being on-line. My connection stays active but I/E just closes and there is no error message.

 

I have ran all kinds of scans and feel confident I have no virus's or bugs- Norton, Macaffee, Spybot, PC Pit Stop amongst others.

 

Can anyone offer any advise on these 2 issues? Thanks in advance
