Windows explorer very slow
Hello,
I have a Dell Latitude D600 and Windows XP professional. A few weeks ago my windows explorer started to be slow. When I want to browse my file system it always takes several seconds to just show a list of files in a folder (even when there are just a few of them). When I start the Windows (File) Explorer, it might take 10 seconds until the "My Computer" and "My Network Places" Icons appear (the "My Documents" icon is there but it is not expanded").
This does not seem to be a hard-drive problem because all applications are quick and I can get lists of files using the Command Prompt or 3rd party tools.
Thanks much,
Ladislav
