New Diminsion 3000, Hard Drive Partitions

Question

We recently acquired a Dimension 3000 with Windows XP Pro.  Today, I took a look at the partitioning of the HDD for the first time.  There are three partitions on the drive: a FAT partition identified as 'Dell Utilities', an NTFS partition (the C: drive), and one identified as 'CP/M Concurrent DOS, CTOS'.  What is this third (CP/M) partition used for?
