I have one too.  No complaints on battery time or heat.  Definitely MUCH faster than the slower HDs

I just got my laptop with the 7200rpm hard drive. I ran many benchmarks and they all told me that my hard drive is the slowest piece of equipment on my laptop. How can I verify that I got what I paid for?

Yep yep, that IS indeed the slowest component on your computer.

ha, even a 7200 RPM drive can't keep pace with todays memory and processor speeds.  The hard drive will always be the bottle neck.

yeah, but the 7200 will make your machine leaps and bounds faster than the 4200, in terms of real life performance

I just got my 5150 with the 7200 rpm drive.

I notice a small amount of screen flicker that seems to occur with hard drive activity. Has anybody had any problems like that. The power setting is max battery/quick set. It only happens on battery power with the display  brightness at the default for this power setting.

I'd one of those but it's clicking every few seconds. I wonder what's going on over here. Maybe.. my virus scanner is working hard. :(
