How to stop Dell Music Matchbox from opening?

Question

When I insert an audio cd in the D drive and want to play it in Windows Media Player, Matchbox Music opens first and begins to play the cd.  I want to stop Music Matchbox from opening without deleting the program.  I called Dell support about this and they were clueless. Can anyone help?  Thanks, Tom

I believe you can fix this by changing the autoplay setting for audio discs. Open My Computer or Explorer, right click your CD drive, Properties, Autoplay settings, and under Music CD, select Play with WMP.

Thanks but that didn't work either.  What you suggested was the same thing Dell support had me try.  I just deleted it from my computer.  Didn't want it anyway.  Thanks again, Tom

You also need to the uncheck the Music CD box in Musicmatch Options/settings

I had the same problem., but corrected it. Open up musicmatch, click on options, then click settings. Where it says to use musicmatch as the default player for everything uncheck it all, that should help. Follow these steps if you decide to reinstall Musicmatch. Hope this helps.
