If you had a packet writing disc in the PC and do a shut down, the disc is likely ruined.
You may be able to get DCD to run it's Scan Disc Utility by inserting the disc and holding down the Shift key to prevent Auto Start. Still, I hold little hope of recovery but you may get lucky!
Packet writing is about the most unreliable form of burning that one can use.

if you don't have Direct CD installed on your system it won't read it at all.
Take it to your Friends house and get them to do it.

Ok that is a direct CD problem.
You will need to finalize the CD before you can read it on your system.
Or Uninstall and reinstall Direct CD.

How would I finalize it though? Every time that I put it in the CD drive, the computer stops responding.
Do you think that this had anything to do with reading it from the XP computer or was that just coincidental?
