My new inspiron 1100 recently got invaded by spyware. We have tried everything to renove but they just keep coming back. I want to clean the hard drive and start over.  Can someone walk me through how to do this. I have tried using the dell reinstallation cd but really don't know what to do. Help!

then don't forget install your drivers with this sequence:

1. chipset

2. video

3. audio

4. input

5. modem/nic/wireless

you can also try to do a system restore to a date before the spyware was installed. also try this, go to start and then run: type prefetch. then delete the contents prefetch folder.
