DVD drive sounds like the wheel is coming off

Question

The spin sounds wobbly, and can hear it thumping, bumping, pyhsically. Sony DVD reader/player   Unable to make my NEC do this.  So my NEC 3530a is OK   The sound or crazy noisy spin happens when I turn my printer on or off.   So, I turn my printer on, and my Sony DVD player skips,bumps and so does the sound and video.  Then it recovers on it's own after 5 to 20 seconds.   This Sony player has 3 different kinds of spins.  1) Normal and quiet    2) superfast and high pitch whiney sound    3) the tire is coming off   Dimension 8400

umm get a can of fix a flat :P hmm maybe the printer programs are conflicting with the DVD drive....do you have the lastest bios and drivers for all of your installed items?
