so that specific software, the ROXIO 7.5, allows to burn a DVD created from a MPEG-2 file, right?

I do not do mpeg2 files but I do have ROXIO Easy Media Creator 7.5. 
I just looked up mpeg2 in the programs help file and it is supported;
both the editing and burning of mpeg2 files.  There is a program
included called VideoWave that allows editing.
