SATA & IDE Drives on a Dim 5000

Question

I'm thinking of buying a Dim 5000 and wondered if its possible to connect my 200gig IDE hard drive as a slave to the Sata drive that comes with the 5000. Looking through the technical details it doesn't say if its got any IDE connectors.

It has two EIDE drive support. You cannot connect a slave to SATA at all - unless you buy a SATA to EIDE converter.

If you buy the system with a single optical drive, you can connect the hard drive as master or slave to the CD/DVD drive.

That is correct. To add an EIDE drive to a 2-optical drive system you will need either a PCI EIDE controller card or an EIDE to SATA converter.

So i presume then I would only be able to have the 1 dvd/cd drive & the IDE hard drive connected, and it wouldn't be possible to have 2 dvd/cd drives & a IDE hard drive
