It looks like you are saying that the problem is with the hard drive specifically and not with the computer.
Are you saying that if you take the hdd and put it in another computer, you still cannot install Win2k on it?
If so, it is most likely the Win2k disk that is the problem.
Nope, I should have been more clear. I can do a regular build with the hd in any system with the Microsoft Win2k cd.....just when it is in the D400 chassis and the external cdrom it fails on trying to build.
