You may want to post your question in the Inspiron CD/DVD forum. It would help if you clarify what model drive you have. The term "combo" usually refers to a CD-RW/DVD-ROM, so please check to make sure you have a DVD burner.
I am also confused by this. Different blank cds have different speeds printed on them. They may be slower that what my comuter says it is writting at. I try to set a default of 16x on my burner but then the program says it is writting at 30X. I don't know if any of this is making a difference in the quaility of my recordings. ALL CONFUSING to a novice. Is there a good web site that explains things like this?
