Look Up My Hard Drive Brand Name

Question

How can I look up on my computer, to find out the brand name of my Hard Drive?   I need to know this so that I can go onto that Brand's web site to down load the diagnostic test for my hard drive.

When I boot up, doesn't it just show the brand name of my computer, which is Dell?

Boot the system - the make and model will show on screen.

If you hit the TAB key or go into the BIOS setup, you should see the drive ID.

Alternatively look in device manager to see what ID string is used to identify your hard drive and enter that string into a search engine such as Google.
