Hey thanks. I was just coming back here to post I had found the fix and it is exactly what you posted. The Dell support webpage doesn't even give the Adaptec HostRAID as an option for the 470 for some reason. Thankfully I found it on the CD and tried it for the sake of trying anything and it worked. It really is strange since during POST it says CERC SATA and nothing that resembles HostRAID anywhere.

Anyway, the one I needed was not the
"Adaptec CERC SATA1.5/6ch" driver, but the
"Adaptec SATA HostRAID Controller" one. Both had a link on the Dell driver page, and the second one worked for me.
