Blue Screens and Inability to Reinstall OS

Question

Starting a few days ago my computer began to get error/memory dump messages that resulted in blue screens and shutting down. After that I could not start up in anything but safe mode and even then I would get errors or things wouldn't run and then I'd crash. I decided I would just reformat so I ran the OS cd, but when it began copying files it failed to copy about 20 or so .sys and .dll and other files and when the windows installation would start up I would get a fatal error and setup could not complete. I ran the diagnostic/driver cd and it came back with the following errors: 'Error Code: 2F00.0B1C Msg: Memory data data bus stress test failure' 'Error Code: 2F2F: 0119 Msg: System memory failure. Read 00000002h, expected 00000000h at address 0C05DBD4h. Suspected memory component located on system board at label DIMM_A.' (A few similar errors came up like this.) Is this an unfixable hardware problem? Do I need to replace the hard drive/ memory?

If you have two DIMMs, remove DIMMA and retest. OK? If so, move DIMMB to DIMMA. No issue? DIMM A is bad. If the issue occurs when DIMMB tests good in its socket, but bad in A, you've got a bad mainboard.

Yeah so I sent the laptop in to be fixed and it comes back exactly the same way it left. What now?
