That'll work, bit it might be a bit of overkill. The larger end of that cable has been designed to attach to the hard drive in such a way that it's guaranteed to not loosen even slightly unless you're heaving your case around the room with great force. Any standard SATA cable should work though (make sure the cable is long enough though!)
can u give a link where to get the right length and at a cheap price? I have checked on the internet but have found various lenghts and sizesand not sure what to get.
I don't think so. I just put in a secondary H.D. in my 9100 & had to use a straight connector on one end & a 90 degree on the H.D. end, because the drive mounts at the bottom of the case & the connector needs to go up at 90 degrees.
