How do I fit CD/DVD Drives in Dimension 8400's?

I have purchased a couple of Dimension 8400 cases with motherboards, but need to fit everything else.   I have come to fit the CD-Writer and DVD-writer drives and am unable to fit them.  What fittings do I need to fit the drives in place?   When Dell supplied an 8400 with one optical drive, were the fittings for a future second optical drive supplied as part of the case fittings? That's what I thought was likely and I'd read the "install drives" part of the manual.

Basically what's happened is that I've bought a couple of "shells" from ebay. The seller stated that an optical drive and graphics card would be supplied and these were missing when supplied. I was going to install an intenal DVD drive and found that there are no fittings for it within the drive bays.
