I purchased a unit http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=316123 .5 inch USB 2.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure Manufacturer: FMI Mfg Part #: 070601 Product Number: 316123  Hoever, the HDD connector did not match the connector for the Enclosure?    I have been searching for something suitable. Help please.

Remove the blade adapter from the end off the laptop's harddrive CAREFULLY.

Yes, done and working thanks to this good advice. The instructons with the unit were poor. They should have mentioned the removal of the adaptor. What are the people thinking that write usage instructions?

They were thinking that all hard drives sold at stores come with NO ADAPTER. The only reason that your drive has one is that it came from your laptop.
