Not able to burn DVDs on GX280 using Sonic Record Now!

Question

I am trying to burn the ISO image files. I placed a recordable Fujifilm DVD-R(4.7G) and when I pressed burn button, I get the following dialogue and the software fails to write any DVD.. I havent tried writing to CDs though.   Message: 'Please insert an empty or rewritable DVD into _NEC DVD+RW(Z:)'

Exact version of the bundled CD & DVD burn  software. 'Sonic Record Now!' Deluxe version 7 Build 710B26A Version7.10 DLX

Its the bundled software 'Sonic Record Now'. I think it is version 7.1..

I asked for the Brand and Model of DVD Burner you have installed in your system.
You can find this in the Device Manager.

Start | Control Panel | System in classic view | Hardware tab | Device Manager

Click on the (+) next to DVD/CD drives and it will show the Brand and Model of drive.

From you post it should be an NEC xxxxxxx.

Yes thats correct.. it is '_NEC DVD+RW ND-2100AD'

In your first post you indicate your drive does not recognize a DVD-R disk.
This is normal for the NEC ND-2100A 8X DVD+R/RW Drive. It is a DVD+ format
burner and cannot burn DVD-R or DVD-RW media. Obtain some DVD+R media and
you should be successful. Your User's Guide is here ..........
