Hi Jenn,

When you say "Drag to Disc" are you referring to Roxio`s Packet Writing program or some have used this term to mean Windows XP built-in program?

For now just to cover a driver issue; click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1 & Section 20, article 3.

Best Regards

Hi Jenn,

What version of Roxio do you have and which Service Pack of XP are you running SP1 or SP2?

Roxio's program.  I was able to create a cd thru copying and pasting in the e drive directly (thru xp).  I think it might be a roxio problem....cuz, its saying the the recorder is busy, and the disc is full.  (but in reality its not)

Hi Jenn,

If the drive will work with Windows XP software, then you may have hit the nail on the head with Roxio.
Have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling it, applying the latest update?

Best Regards

Hi Jenn,

Thanks for the information, your version does support XP SP2. Click on the CD/RW in my post and scroll to Section 47 and follow one of these articles to properly uninstall and reinstall Roxio`s software. Many like using the Roxio Zap program which is listed there. The articles listed there are from Roxio` Members or their Support Team.
You should then be able to jump over to Roxio`s site and apply the latest update for Version 6.

PS: here is the link:
http://www.roxio.com/en/support/ecdc/software_updatesv6_2.jhtml

The Platinum version is the first one, the Basic is just below it, get the correct one.

Best Regards

The version sounds like Basic and the last one for that was 6.1.1.48 (4/04).

If I followed these posts the original disc was written using XP's Burning (sessions). Now he is trying to write it using Classic.

If that is correct, then he must Import the previous Sessions before adding anything to Project pane in Classic.

If you don't do it in this order, you can only write to a blank disc.
