The correct driver is supplied by Windows and all optical drives
use the same ones.  Look in the Device Manager and click the (+)
next to DVD/CD-ROM drive and post the Brand and Model of the
drive and we will identify it.

The TEAC DV-28EC 8X DVD-ROM Drive is not a writing drive.  It can read-only
DVD and CD media.  user's Guide is here ...........

Thanks, I was wondering if anyone else might be able to tell me how exactly I can find out if I have the correct drivers loaded to my computer

The correct driver is the one supplied by Microsoft (dated about 2001).
Windows installs it and all optical drives use the same ones.  You may
be referring to Firmware.  The latest is a DOS based version here ........
