Question regarding Inspiron 6000 DVD+/-R drive

Hi, First of all thanks for taking time to read my post.   I am about to order a Inspiron 6000 with a DVD burner. The option that i selected for it is : ' 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability '  As it states in the customization menu, the dvd burner supports both + and - DVDR formats. But in the description of the dvd burner, the following is stated: 'Write speed : 8x (DVD+R)          16x (CD-R)'. It doesn't mention DVD-R or -RW at all. So does the burner that comes with Inspirion 6000 (the description states that all the inspirion comes with the same burner) does not support '-' format or just a typo?   Thanks

Can anyone confirm this? I mean I would think it is a typo too cause these days, I haven't seen any DVD burner with only one format support. But then again, I have no idea how laptop burners go. Probably won't get it if it supports only one format (either + or -). So any confirmation would really be helpful. Thanks.

The NEC ND-6650A (and the Sony DW-D56A precedes it) on my 6000 supports writing to DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, and DVD+R DL.
