Re installation of applications using dell back up disc.

Question

I am trying to re install sonic mydvd 5.0 and record now 6.5. I am using the application re install disc supplied by dell but to no avail. i receive the message;     16 BIT WINDOWS SUBSYSTEM   C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS - DOS and microsoft windows applications.         Can anyone enlighten me as to why i may not re install these programs using re installation disc?

It is a dell application cd.

For re installing sonic mydvd 5.0 limited addition and recordnow 6.5 software.

This software was already installed on the computer when i had it. This cd is a backup and has worked in the past.

When you say 'application reinstall disc supplied by dell', are you referringa disc specifically labeled as Sonic RecordNow? What is the Title on the reinstall disc?
