Just to be sure, you should use Cable Select jumper settings, not Master/Slave (yes Master/Slave does work but Cable Select is Dell`s standard, we try to stay true to form) With Cable Select, location on the cable determines Master/SLave. With all that said, Dell tends to default the second drive to off in the BIOS, so enter the BIOS and verify that the IDE channel is set to auto and that both drives are on.
