still not quite sure what is happening from your description, but you may also want to post over in the Dimension form as thisis the XPS forum. In the mean time, it would help to know if this problem(s) happened in relation to adding or changing some software or hardware item. Can you get into safe mode (f8) on boot? List the exact message of the error(s) you get, if you can. Did you do anything in the bios?
and when you say there are no drivers in device manager, do you mean for the audio? Do you have an audio card installed? If so, you need to turn off the onboard audio in the bios. If no external audio card is installed, then you need to turn on the onboard audio in the bios.
