well u r at 1.8 ghtz. that will slow u up. Also check by your clock if there are a ton of icons there that is using up your memory or system resources. Do the following to increase system resources
Go to Start, Run, type in "msconfig", no (""), select OK. Now click on the StartUp tab. Uncheck everything that you don't need running in the background. keep systray and explorer and scan registry checked. then run scandisk. then run defrag. make sure you stop your screen saver from running
Yea that makes sense, why its running abit slower then my desktop, but why is the internet running so much slower (like up to 5x slower). Is that McCaffe er something else?
not sure why internet would be running slow. If wired should be 100mbps and wireless is 54mbps. when connected to internet either way your at actual speed of 7mbps or lower. i would do what i posted. Definitly do a scandisk and a defrag. Gives a huge improvement to speed.
