Dimension 4100 hard drive format and windows me reinstall?

Question

My system is currently running windows xp. I want to format the hard drive with a boot disk that was given to me and reinstall windows me. Can i use the windows me reinstall disk that came with the system after i format the hard drive? how do you use the boot disk to properly format the hard drive? Step by step instruction would be nice to have since i have never done a format that way before. If anyone can help thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info bev it wil be alot of help. One question though, will F-disk work on my file system? When i installed windows xp i changed it to a ntsf file system.

You should be able to use the Dell WMe reinstallation CD to partition and format the hard drive,

Ok, i do have a copy of kill disk once i run that do i still run the boot disk or do i now need something else? And can i still use the reinstall disk of windows me that came with my computer?
