Dim 4400 add SATA as boot drive?

Question

I just upgraded to a 200 Gb drive and the copy utility 'missed'  a bit. I'm faced with starting from scratch and wonder if there is any way I could install a SATA drive (since my next machine will certainly run those) and boot from it. As I write this it occurs to me that just adding one and using cable select should do it. Is this a correct assumption? (Most of the errors are in Office 2003 and I can't run the setup disk for some reason.)

The 4400 has no SATA support. To add a SATA drive you'll need to install a PCI SATA controller. It sounds like your Office CD is damaged.
