Try changing the date of your computer back before December 1.  Not a restore point, but the actual calendar date.  This is a temporary fix that I found works.

If not, then look for a cole2k codec site that you can download codecs from and that should stabilize it.

Hi brazzell,

Please see the locked post from Dell-Michael at the top of the page in regards to roll the date back if you are using Cineplayer as your decoder. As for other decoder, please click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 7-5, article 15 and give VLC program a try.

Merry Christmas !

Off topic but possibly not.

I'm experiencing no sound on live TV and video in media centre.  The temporary date changes fixes it.

Thanks for the feedback Wheels. I had another Member send me an e-mail on the "roll-back" fixing his as well.

Nniixx,
Wthout looking at the code, hard to say my friend. Of course Cineplayer`s date change may be oevrwriting a shared file.
Some people have completely dumped Cineplayer and seem very pleased with the free VLC player, which does not require tweaking of the date. Michael mentioned that Dell is indeed working with Sonic to get a patch out as soon as possible.

Merry Christmas !

Interesting.

On thw weekend I was trying to get my TV card to work with my PS2 and could get video but no sound via the composite inputs.

I gave up trying thinking it was a lost cause.

Maybe I'll try the date roll back thing and see if that helps.

It helped m for my DVD not playing problem.

If the date roll back does work then that could indicate it's a problem with something else in the system eg Video Card, Sound Card, WinXP MCE and not necessarily Cineplayer ?
