First, I would like to thank you for your quick response to my question. The model of the the burner is TSSTcorpCDRWDVD TSH492C. I checked the properties on this and it stated that the device is working properly. I have tried LG disks, Memorex, and Verbatim, but no luck yet. I will try the site you recommended and hopefully it will help. Again, a big hearty thanks, and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
The TSST TS-H492C is a CD-RW/DVD-ROM (Combo) Drive. That means it can read DVD media but is not capable of writing to it. User's Guide is here ............
Sorry for not getting back to you last night, my niece came bye with three of her friends and spent the night. They took over all three PC`s !!! Mike~Skybird covered your issue for you, unfortunately the term Combo drives DVD/CDRW tends to be misleading for some.
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Thank you ever so much for the information on the model of my DVD player. Trust me, I wasn't long getting on the phone with Dell, and they are shipping out a burner. I'm glad that I was able to find this discussion room and had you there to help me. Take care, and again, a very Merry Christmas to you and your family.
