It needs to be in DMA mode.  Change it to DMA and if it reverts back
to PIO mode, Review this article; it includes a utility to force it
to DMA mode ..............

How do I change it to DMA mode? ... there is no option to do so in the image.

Check that your drive is in DMA mode and not PIO mode here .......

Start | Control Panel | System in classic view | Hardware tab | Device Manager

Click on the (+) next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.  Right-click the channel
the DVD drive is on and select Properties.  Click the Advanced Settings tab.

Under Transfer Mode theres only 2 options: PIO Only and DMA if available
