Inspiron E1705 - Choppy CD/DVD Playback

Question

Hello,  I have an Inspiron E1705 I have the CD/DVD/R Combo drive 'TSST Corp DVD+RW TS-L632D' Whenever I try to play most of the DVD the playback ranges from a little choppy to simply unbearable. -I have tried setting my laptop to The 'Always On' profile and that seemed to help a little. -I have tried setting the drive to a different drive letter.(didn't seem to help)   I was wondering if theres anything else I can do. It needs to be in DMA mode.  Change it to DMA and if it reverts backto PIO mode, Review this article; it includes a utility to force itto DMA mode .............. http://www.michna.com/kb/WxDMA.htm

How do I change it to DMA mode? ... there is no option to do so in the image.

Check that your drive is in DMA mode and not PIO mode here .......

Start | Control Panel | System in classic view | Hardware tab | Device Manager

Click on the (+) next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Right-click the channel
the DVD drive is on and select Properties. Click the Advanced Settings tab.

I've done that before, heres what it says:     what should i change? Under Transfer Mode theres only 2 options: PIO Only and DMA if available
