Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone offer suggestions to a solution? Thanks! :)

Sorry, I just wanted to add to the list of "symptoms"... the glitch/skipping seems worse when I'm voice-chatting with a mic as I'm listening to music using MusicMatch Jukebox... this never happened on any of my other computers (including a Dell desktop)... this sounds so "primitive" for a newer laptop, doesn't it?!? Puzzling...

Hey Fred...

I used to have a problem with my M1210 that caused all my CDs that I burned to skip every 10 to 15 seconds.  I can't figure out or explain why but the problem was fixed by disabling or unchecking the "Enable AEC" setting.  Enable AEC can be found by right clicking the Logitech Video icon in the task bar, then click on camera settings, then click on the Audio tab.  I don't know if it will fix your glitches but it's worth a try.  I only thought that this solution might be related to your problem because you mentioned that the problem got worse when you did voice chats using the microphone.

Good luck!

Thank-you very much, Nelson. I really appreciate your trying to help because my computer still does it... I tried looking for the "Enable AEC" option but it's not there... All I have under the Audio tab is (starting from the top): "Primary audio capture device": I can choose from "Sigma Tel Audio" or "Quickcam for Dell Notebooks", then a blank with a red X beside it, then "Recording Volume Level",then a like that says "Click here to reconfigure your system's audio".

What does "Enable AEC" stand for or mane anyway?

Thanks!

Fred,

AEC (Acoustic Echo Canceller). If you enable AEC, your hardware accelleration for your sound card drops to 1/4 instead of full.

Try that option to reconfigure your system's audio. You might find the option to uncheck the "Enable AEC" feature by running the Logitech Audio Tuning Wizard.
I did a search in Google for "AEC M1210" and found that a lot of people are fixing various problems by disabling that AEC feature.

Hope this works for you...
