Is your DVD writer working ok otherwise?

Recorded files are saved in a folder, which I believe is C:\Documents and Settings\User\Recorded TV.  I say "believe" because I've changed my location.  If you go into Media Center's Settings for Recorder you can see where the files are saved and change the location.

You can use other burning software to burn the files to DVD.  I use VideoReDo to remove commercials and save the file as a .mpg file.  I then use Nero to either just burn the file to DVD (my DVD player will play mpg files) or I use Nero Vision to convert it to VCD, SVCD or standard DVD format and burn.

Yes, both of my players are working but there seems to be some issue why Windows Media Centre is not seeing my recorder. I also noticed it with using Roxio MyDVD software. It's not seeing the recorder either.

I now know where my Recorded TV files are. Thanks on that.

I have the latest driver for my DVD recorder installed, I can burn DVD's with DVD Dycriptor but that program does not reconize .mpg files.

I have also tried deleting my DVD drive in Device Manager and rebooted and Windows saw the hardware and reinstalled it's driver.
Still no luck with Roxio MyDVD or Media Centre seeing the recorder.
