Resetting dimension 3000 to original factory settings using ctrl f12

Question

Virus infected dimension desktop.  Have reset previously with dell technician using ctrl f12, but cannot remember how to reset (configure) again.  Want to give to friend, so am not concerned about losing contents of hard drive, just need steps to reset after ctrl f12.  Appreciate any procedure direction from dell forum subscriber, so as not to have to spend for corrective action.  Pentium 4 Intel with windows xp.  Thanks!
