Hi - I would like to do exactly the same thing with my Inspiron 3800 - replace the 5gb HDD. Were you successful with this replacement drive? That model drive is not available any more, but ebuyer recommended this 80gb drive as an alternative: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/108782
Would anyone know if this would work for me? I have never attempted to upgrade a HDD before and I don't want to fork out £60 for something that might not work.
