You can delete a partition in disk manager by right clicking on the partition and selecting delete. However, it does not add the space to your other partition. If you want to do that, you need a program like partition magic. I don't use it, so I can't say if it is good or not.
You can either reinstall XP, deleting the partition when prompted, or use a non-destuctive partition utility, similar to
Acronis Disc Director Suite 10.0..
