It is possible the drive is not securely seated in the drive cage, not fully latched. Here is the manual and the section on the drive location and how it is installed. C521
If it feels loose, but seems latched properly, some have placed foam or something to that affect to tighten the drive. If the noise stops, then you have found the cause. If it does not, then I would suggest you contact Dell; or you may still wish to contact them, the latch may be defective.
