If you have 'flashed' a wrong firmware and are unable to flash the
correct one, the drive may be a loss.  Consider replacing it.

Sorry to say, it's time to go to Ebay and buy a new drive.

Skybird, Allan, thanks for your time... meanwhile I "managed" to flash another firmware but somehow it got corrupted, I had an error message, whatever...
BIOS did not see the drive anymore, saying it's not properly connected... took it out, bought a new one which works just fine.
