I am trying to access my C drive. The system indicates that it is running off of E drive (and I don't know why). I can clean up the C drive, I can save to the C drive, but I want my system to run off the C drive.
BTW...I only have 1 hard drive (I believe). I am obviously not very computer literate!
All I want to do is access the memory I have added. Without it, I can't download or install anything new. Heck, I can't even defragment because there isn't enough memory to do this (per the error message).
If you have all of your important files backed up, I would just start over. The procedure is described many places within this forum, including
this thread. During the installation of XP, you will have the option to delete all existing partitions. That will give you the operating system on the C drive.
How do I access the disk management? I think you are right that I installed it in the wrong place. If this is the case, can I make the switch easily, or do I need to start over?
