I remember seeing something that it was supposed to be released today on microsoft's site, then later on for Automatic Updates.

Do you know when it will be released?

That is just a pdf white paper giving an overview of SP3. SP3 has not yet been released as far as I can tell.

 

Update:  I checked this page on the MS site and SP3 is in RC2 (release candidate 2) stage:

When it is released, if you have automatic updates turned on, your computer will download it automatically as part of windows updates. 

I can't find any definitive release date on the MS website.  This page just says first half of 2008.  I guess it could be anytime between today and june 30, 2008.
