Wacky Packs.
It should be easy to add Second Hard Drive in a D/4600 for details see the following. http://docs.us.dell.com/docs/systems/dim4600/en/4600i/sm/parts.htm#1138667
These are generic instructions for installing an additional hard drive using Windows XP Disk Management, they are by Seagate, but apply to all brands,

Wacky Packs-
It is easily done. The 4600 has brackets for 2 hard drives. I have 2 in mine running beautifully.
