This has been noted before and I hope it helps you. If you purchased your laptop with major credit card that has extended warranty benefit, contact them and get a claim refund for the amount of the new hd then go buy one of your choice. Fujitsu, WD, Seagate...all good. I have used this warranty service to do exactly this and it worked great.
