the swap is straight but it is different if you are ready to replace the disk and migrate all data from the old to the new. In that case I use Accronix True Immage to cloan what i had in the old drive with the aid of an adapter ATA/SATA to USB2. they are very economic and saves you to have to purchase more expensive external enclosures.

Thanks for the quick reply.
So am I safe to assume once I cloan the drive I can just swap drives, plug the SATA drive in and I'm off an running? Should be pretty much seamless?
