Gwinsgolf, have you updated the software using the Drivers and Downloads page <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed / replaced from this post by Dell>? That may resolve the issues that you are experiencing. However, there are two downloads there: one for DigitalMedia Plus and one for DigitalMedia Basic (you get to that by clicking on the Other Versions link on that page). You would have to check the software that you have currently installed to find out which update to use. Was the software working at one time? It's also possible that some other program is conflicting with the Sonic program and causing it to crash. It's hard to tell what it might be without knowing everything that is on the system. However, if the Sonic program was working at one time you might be able to narrow down possible programs that could be causing the issue. There are quite a few good alternatives out there. bhrdsty mentioned Roxio and Nero. Roxio is now owned by Sonic Solutions (yes, the same company that made your DigitalMedia Plus). PowerDVD is another option. You might want to look at Amazon and Newegg for what they offer in terms of burning software because there are options if you choose to dump the Sonic program. Let us know if you have any questions.
You're welcome, Gwinsgolf. :smileyhappy: I'm glad to hear that worked for you and appreciate the fact that you posted that information. I had a feeling that an update might help when you mentioned that part about it not being the "final approved version." If you get a chance please mark my post as solved by clicking on that little green
Solution? button so that anyone else that has that issue can find it quickly. If you have any other questions, let us know.
