Hi, bigbaddad:

Please work through these standard troubleshooting steps first.

Try one other thing for me. Grab DVD Identifier (link below), and see if that program is able to read the media code of your blank discs.

i tried all of the above but still the same thing happening.

 

Did the DVD identifier and this is the message i'm getting

 


Waiting For Drive To Initialize Disc...
[17:53:26] ERROR : Unable To Initialize Disc In Time : Not ready - Logical unit not ready [02/04/01]

Ok, that certainly points to a drive problem. Try running the diagnostics on your drive, which is described in these standard troubleshooting steps.

ok i have done a diagnostics and it passed no errors nothing everything was ok????

 

just burned an audio cd and it worked fine so it's just blank DVD'S it's not recognising

What's the brand and speed of blank DVDs?

these ones are Tescos DVD+R 4.7GB 8X SPEED but i have tried other makes but it's the same thing???

I see two Tesco 8X DVD+R discs, one made by CMC (poor) and another made by AML (worse).

 

Let me suggest you pick up a small pack of Verbatim discs and see if things improve.
