Startup Repair

To resolve an error EVENT ID 3002 Vista Ultimate 32 bit says to (1) use the Windows product disk (2)restart computer (3) press any key to start computer from the Windows product disk (4) check laungauge NEXT (5) Repair your computer (6) select op system to repair (7) System recover option STARTUP REPAIR (8) When startup repair finished restart computer.

Since I do not have the Windows operating disk but Dells restore disk what can I do to fix this problem. I must have the original Windows Vista Ultimate Disk not a restore disk to fix this problem. How can I run Startup Repair?

Hi

If you do a web search for Vista startup disk you can download it as an ISO and burn it to a DVD then you

can use it to do a startup repair !:emotion-2:

Or if you know anyone with a Vista disk OEM or even a Retail Vista DVD will work it if you have the 32 bit version you can not use the 64 bit version tho !

The Dell disk is a Windows Operating System DVD.  It just has some things added into it (e.g., so it recognizes a Dell BIOS, and for XP disks, SATA drivers so you don't have to use a floppy drive to load them) to make things easier for our customers when reinstalling Windows.

The Dell disk should work fine. There is no difference between the Dell disk and a retail disk except for some code to access the Dell bios.

So you have all you need.
