Studio 1537 Laptop screen keeps going black
hey guys i dont know if this is a hardware issue or software issue but i already exchanged ma studio 1537 and i keep getting the same problem,.. The problem basically is that my screen would just automaticcaly go blank like all ablack randomly and then i would have to shutdown and start it up again i searched teh forums couldnt find anything, it keeps on doing this

Its probably the back light is going out. You will need to replace the lcd. Connect it to an external monitor and see if the monitor stays on when the backlight goes out. If so then it is your lcd. If they both go out then it would be your graphics card that has the issue, but it probably is the backlight. One other thing to check is the power settings in control panel. Make sure the monitor is set to stay on for if it is not then your computer may just be going into sleep mode.

Hi, i have the Studio 1537 and was having the same problem than you. I finally discovered what was causing it, and it's the Aero Theme, don't ask me what's the reason, but i thought it were the drivers before, so i updated it and even so the problem keeped.
Go to "Appearance Settings" (o configuración de apariencia para usuarios en español), and see if Windows Aero is selected to change it to another theme.

PD: somebody know how to fix the horizontal lines when i watch a video in fullscreen from a web?
