Error code when ran a diagnostic test on my CD\DVD drive! Does not read disks!!!
Error Code 0148
Msg: Error Code 2000-0148
Msg: Hard\Optical Drive 0 - incorrect status: 1A Error
Register: 0020H
Sens information: (02-0401)
Sense data: 70h, 00h, 02h, 00h, 00h, 00h, 00h, 0Ah, 00h, 00h, 00h, 00h, 04h, 01h, 00h, 00h, 00h, 00h
My CD\DVD Drive does not read disks when inserted into the drive. It will try and then it just stops. I ran a test without a CD in the drive and the diagnostic passed. Then I put a DVD into the drive, ran the test and it failed and gave me that error message.

Try booting to the Operating system disk. I've assumed that you've reseated the drive to ensure its connected properly, if you're unable to boot to the disk I suggest that you use dell.com/chat and get it resolved. be sure to mention what you've done. ^-^

If you ran the test using a data DVD (not movie DVD) and received
the error, it is telling you the drive has failed. Most likely the
DVD laser has failed. Time to replace the drive.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I talked to a Dell member and we did a session with him\her controlling my screen. The problem is that the Drive has failed and they are coming to replace it. Thank God for warrantys. FREEE! :)
