Installing 2003 SBS SP1 (not R2) on PowerEdge T110 with PERC S100 Integrated RAID

We were forced to switch away from the PowerEdge 840s recently and I've been trying to find a similar (albeit cheaper) model to run Windows 2003 SBS SP1 on.   Ordered the PowerEdge T110 with an integrated PERC S100 card in a RAID 1.   Tried to install but kept blue screening after loading RAID drivers.   Tried slipstreaming but no luck.   After some reasearch it appears Dell requires you to you SBS 2003 R2, which is fine and good but I'm not relicensing the OS just to pay Micro$oft extra cash.   Surely there is a way to install or another PowerEdge model that supports SBS 2003 SP1.    We have a business need not to upgrade.    Anyone have any ideas here?

According to the matrix, the only shipping models that officially support 2003 non-R2 SBS is the T100, T105, T300, T410 - the latter two being at least the server the 840 was.  Just remember, you will still need SP2 to successfully install.  You can use nLite to slipstream the SP and create a new CD with the SP integrated.

The newer machine only support R2, which isn't to say you can't make it work somehow.  However, I know that you will need a minimum of SP2 regardless.  If you are going to make it work, SP2 is REQUIRED for support with the latest drivers for several devices, not the least of which is the RAID controller.

Using the standard Dell Open Manager System CD, the T300 definitely DOES NOT support the installation of non R2, non SP2 versions of Server2003, standard OR premium.  I don't know if you create slipstreamed CDs whether you can get it to work.
