Ok here is an update. I updated the firmware and now its making a clicking sound as if it is stuck. What should they do? I've never been around a slot drive before so I'm not sure how exactly how I can walk them through fixing that. They are overseas and I don't think they have any computer repair shops in the area :(

Sis needs to go to the CD/DVD FAQ (link below) and follow the instructions for a "code 39 error". That will fix this problem.
